Based in Nice in the South of France, we are a street art company specialized in the construction of monumental self-propelled mechanical structures and the creation of fantastical ambulatory parades.
It was in 2006 that Pierre Povigna created the company Planète Vapeur.
An architect by training, always passionate about complex mechanisms and giant biomechanical machines, he then brought together a team of enthusiasts, like him, for fantastic and magical worlds, notably with Gérard Artufel for the drawings and Françoise Povigna for the costumes.
Before launching into the world of entertainment, the Povigna family had already been involved for many years in event design, the manufacture of mechanical subjects and the creation of custom sets.
When Pierre created the Company, he was already the 4th generation of a family of Carnival-goers, to whom the city of Nice owes the creation of around a hundred floats including the King's float since 1992.
To bring all these worlds to life, there are graphic designers, engineers, welders, painters, sculptors and costume designers who bring new shows to life every year for almost 20 years !

OUR TECHNICAL MEANS
Since our beginnings in the world of entertainment, we have put our know-how in the manufacture of event structures to work to imagine and create all our shows, from A to Z.
Our workshop brings together all the trades necessary for the creation of our structures : designers, 3D modelers, industrial designers, engineers, architects, sculptors, electrical engineers, electricians, automation engineers, mechanics, crane operators, hydraulic engineers, welders and locksmiths, resin workers, painters, costume designers, assembly technicians, semi-trailer drivers as well as trainers for your teams on site.
All manufacturing stages are carried out in our workshops in Nice.
Beyond the technical skills of our team, we use machines and tools essential to creation in each of the different poles.
Finally , we provide all of our own travel : via flatbed truck, semi-trailer, utility vehicles, etc.
Our fantastic beasts are used to travel ! Our team has members certified for loading and transporting structures, both in vans for small subjects and in semi-trailers with crane for larger loads.
Our technicians take care of assembly and disassembly while also ensuring the proper functioning of our structures during the services.
